La Marisoul y Son California

La Marisoul y Son California, is a group of Mexican American artists based in Southern California whose goal is to celebrate the diversity of styles within Mexican music. They share a deep respect and love for the genre of Son Jarocho. The group decided to come together to create new interpretations based on traditional and contemporary art forms. La Marisoul, Federico Zuniga, Victor Murillo, Jorge Herrera and Laura Cambron are passionate about rich Mexican musical traditions rooted in the United States and Mexico. The love they share for their culture and community is evident in their passionate and soulful interpretations of Son and Canción Mexicana.”

Las Chorizeras

Las Chorizeras is an all-Female ensemble that realizes all of Nancy’s songs in a fresh new regional alternative and regional Mexican arrangements.

The latest single by Las Chorizeras showcases the imagination and virtuosity of the 4 band members Nancy Sanchez, Eunice Aparicio, Anisette Noperi, and Darlene Perez. Pecadora asserts the Strength of Women when they realize their Independence, Beauty and Power.

Classical Ensemble and Street Symphony Chamber Singers

Street Symphony’s Classical Ensemble consist of the Los Angeles best  professional classical musicians and Chamber Singers. 

Ase Ashe Drummers

Drumming events build community connections. Cultural exchange drives individuals to feel a sense of belonging and a connection with themselves. Public, accessible events like these Rhythm at the Refresh are the roots for building relationships, establishing comrade that flourishes with community growth. Vibrations are the catalyst which brings people together.

Sal and the Gigs

Saliou and The Gigs is a Alternative Rock/Soul band formed by Saliou M’boup. Mixing Traditional West African musical philosophy with modern rock n roll instruments brings a fresh sound and electric energy to each show. Lead singer and primary songwriter Saliou M’Boup started this project in 2019 by contacting artists he has played with in various bands and events, to craft a new live experience with them. Since then the music has grown to represent the duality of Saliou’s life and musical taste as a first generation African American artist.
